4 Amerikaanse luchtmachtmilitairen dood bij ongeluk met U-28 in Djibouti
(Zaterdag werd wel melding gemaakt van de crash van een Amerikaanse helikopter in het district Sarobi in de provincie Kabul in Afghanistan, maar de NAVO gaf daarover geen details.
Chinese media meldden dat Afghaanse functionarissen hadden verklaard dat daarbij slachtoffers waren gevallen. Dit werd door veel andere media niet gemeld.
Ook the Frontier Post maakt melding van slachtoffers bij de helikoptercrash van zaterdag in Sarobi.
(...) Muhammad Haqbeen, chief of Sarob district. He told Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) that people aboard the aircraft suffered casualties by they had no accurate information, adding the cause of the crash was also unclear but there was possibility that it might had been shot. (...)

Amerikaanse media, zoals hieronder The Voice of America, maken pas op maandag melding van de crash van de U-28A in Djibouti.
De U-28A is een klein propellervliegtuig.
"The U.S. Africa Command says the aircraft went down during a routine flight at about 8 p.m. Saturday, local time.
Both statements said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
Camp Lemonnier is the only U.S. military base in Africa. The base is home to the U.S. Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, which has played a role in counter-terrorism and counter-piracy operations."
- Er is dus zaterdag een helikopter gecrasht in Afghanistan, waarover geen verdere details zijn te vinden, en een U-28 verongelukt in Djibouti. -

4 Hurlburt Field Airmen die in U-28A crash in Djibouti
HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. (AFNS) -- Capt Ryan P. Hall from the 319th Special Operations Squadron, Capt Nicholas S. Whitlock and 1st Lt Justin J. Wilkens from the 34th Special Operations Squadron and Senior Airman Julian S. Scholten from the 25th Intelligence Squadron died Feb. 18 when their U-28A was involved in an accident near Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, located in the Horn of Africa. No other personnel were on board the aircraft.
